The Start of Something Big (3rd March 2003)

Today, the first tentative steps are taken to evolve the campaign against NTL's broadband cap. A group of regular users of the www.dont-pay-ntl.co.uk website are aware that the campaign may be losing a little of its impetous. There appears to be a lack of new ideas and loss of interest after the initial furore. However it remains apparent that many NTL customers are still unaware of the change in terms of service imposed through the Acceptable User Policy introduced on the 7th February 2003.

The dont-pay-ntl website is the primary focus for the dissilusioned NTL customers. It is also the main mouthpiece of the campaigners. The website was rapidly set up, and solely maintained by the site's instigator, Kingsley Smith. It has become apparent that keeping it current is an increasingly impossible task for one person.

As a result of comments made within the dont-pay-ntl forum, a group of campaigners have agreed to produce a new web ste design. By having a more versatile forum, improved range of content, and the facility for regualr updates from differing sources, it is believed a new site will breathe fresh life into the campaign.

At this time the small team seeks assistance in the redesign and development work. As this is a campaign for everybody, all offers of help will be appreciated.

The team also wishes to thank Kingsley Smith, and the team of moderators and hidden supporters of dont-pay-ntl for their efforts to date. It is hoped that they will all become involved with the new site.
