Joint Statement from NTL and AntiCap (06 Jun 2003)

A meeting has been held between representatives of NTL Home and AntiCap UK at NTL HQ in Hook.

The majority of the meeting was informal and off the record, allowing both sides to explore and better understand each others point of view.

NTL Home re-stated that this is a policy that impacts a tiny number of customers, and benefits the vast majority; and clarified that it is a proactive step to prevent network congestion from happening.

AntiCap consider limiting daily download volumes too blunt a tool which fails to address the inevitable growth of broadband usage and that risks creating a sense of unease amongst pc-literate customers.

Dialogue will continue.
