AntiCap UK confirms it's official Launch (07 April 2003)
On 7th February 2003 ntl:home placed their amended Acceptable User Policy
for interactive services on their ntlworld website. Swiftly after, in response
to the high levels of criticism, ntl:home stated they would monitor users
downloads for 60 days before contacting the users and "advising them". The
launch of AntiCap is timed to meet the expected challenge now ntl:home having
completed this monitoring period.
Over the past few weeks the founders of the AntiCap campaign have been
busy developing the anticap.co.uk website. This website is expected to become
the primary focus of the campaign and means of communicating our ideas.
We have also been working hard to set up a proper non profit organisation
that is adequately structured to facilitate the campaign's development.
Parts of our website have been running in test mode for some while. We
thank our initial users for their valued feedback and for their consideration
with the effects of updates and modifications as our design ideas developed.
With the formal launch of the site we hope to see our user and member base
rapidly expand.
Thank you for your interest, we look forward to your support.
